“UberHire” is new time based cab service launched by Uber in 9 Indian cities. What does Uber itself says about its service is “perfect for travellers exploring a new city, senior citizens who need to make trips punctuated with multiple stopovers, or for business travellers who have multiple meetings”. Basically you can just make a call on Uber and travel the city with UberHire Service.

After a successful pilot run in Kochi, 9 Indian Cities where Uber is launched are: Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, ChennaiMumbai, NagpurNew Delhi, Pune, Vizag with more cities to be covered soon.

UberHire service lets you to hold on your cab for a time duration of 12 hours. You can hold on your booked for 12 hours from the time of booking. Its fares starts with INR 449 – 649 for 2 hours upto 30 km. Uber will charge INR 2 per min from that point on, with roughly INR 12 charged per kilometre. Pricing and cancellation charges will vary from city to city. There will be no dynamic pricing in the service. UberHIRE service is, however, available on cash payment only at present.

UberHire AppUber app has been updated to add a section called UberHIre where the booking can be made. The total fare for a trip is calculated based on the distance and duration of the ride.
