San Jose was the original venue of the WorldWide Developer Conference. It hosted Apple’s annual event from 1988 to 2002. Apple has announced on this thursday, its annual WWDC 2017 event will held in San Jose from June 5. The event will be hosted in San Jose after 15 years since 2002.
Registration & Tickets
The Registration and Ticketing process has been the same like recent year. Registration will open on 27 March 2017, the chances to buy tickets will be offered by random selection. If you are a Apple Developer Program or Apple Developer Enterprise Program member, you can apply for tickets this spring. Selected developer will be charged with $1,599 directly to the credit/debit card associated with their Apple.
Apple WWDC 2017 Showcase
Apple is more likely to showcase its upcoming generation platforms for its different machines. Probably we could get an opportunity to get updates on mobile devices, watches, Macintosh, and television i.e. iOS, watchOS, macOS, and tvOS.
Apple WWDC 2017 Live
Apple Developer website and on the WWDC app for iPhone, iPad and Apple TV will be used for live streaming of WWDC 2017 conference. The event take place at San Jose McEnery Convention Center in California which is located some minutes away from Apple headquaters in Cupertino. Developers attending the conference will get access to over 1,000 Apple engineers who will be also attending the conference.
Phil Schiller, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing
Phil Schiller on WWDC 2017 said “It feels like WWDC is going home”. He also added WWDC 2017 in San Jose will not affect the number of attendees and a lot will happen outside the convention center. Schiller in conversation with John Gruber added “Employees won’t have to devote an entire day to being there” as WWDC 2017 in San Jose means a lot for them.
Later Apple added “”Apple is working with the city of San Jose and local businesses to celebrate the return of WWDC with very special experiences around San Jose throughout the week”.
