Apple Launches iMac Pro: Everything You Need to Know

Apple released its first teaser about the 27-inch 5K iMac Pro long ago in June 2017 at WWDC. Plus, in an exclusive interview, Phil Schiller, who is Apple’s senior vice president of worldwide marketing, assured that the iMac Pro will release quite soon.

So finally, Apple has released its iMac Pro. The iMac Pro features workstation-level Intel Xeon processors of up to 18-cores. Moreover, the technology also promises to offer 22 Teraflops of graphics performance (wowee) as it uses AMD’s awesome Radeon Pro Vega GPUs, which offers up to 16GB of video memory.

The new iMac Pro pricing begins at $4,999 (US) or £4,889 (UK), which approximately rounds up to 3,20,513 INR. The company alleges that the system uses the most astonishing as well as powerful collection of storage, memory, workstation-class graphics, processors, and I/O that’s ever presented by Mac.

The company also claims that the technology will allow video editors to simultaneously edit up to eight streams of 4K video. Plus, it will also allow to edit 4.5K RED RAW video and 8K video at full resolution in real time.

So far, Apple has only released the 8 and 10-core versions. The 18-core variant, however, won’t be available until 2018.

The device supports 4TB of SSD with 128GB of ECC RAM memory. It sports four Thunderbolt 3 ports for you to connect two high-performance RAID arrays plus two 5K displays simultaneously. For 10 times faster networking, iMac Pro also offer 10Gbps Ethernet.

Furthermore, new accessories available for the system include the new Magic Keyboard with a numeric keypad, plus the Magic Mouse 2 and Magic Trackpad 2.

Apple has added a massive update to Final Cut Pro X. It flaunts features like support for High Dynamic Range (HDR) video and 360-degree and VR video editing. A first for Mac, creatives to can edit full-resolution 8K video.

Apple WWDC 2017 Date Is Announced: June 5 in San Jose

San Jose was the original venue of the WorldWide Developer Conference. It hosted Apple’s annual event from 1988 to 2002. Apple has announced on this thursday, its annual WWDC 2017 event will held in San Jose from June 5. The event will be hosted in San Jose after 15 years since 2002.

Registration & Tickets

The Registration and Ticketing process has been the same like recent year. Registration will open on 27 March 2017, the chances to buy tickets will be offered by random selection. If you are a Apple Developer Program or Apple Developer Enterprise Program member, you can apply for tickets this spring. Selected developer will be charged with $1,599 directly to the credit/debit card associated with their Apple.

Apple is more likely to showcase its upcoming generation platforms for its different machines. Probably we could get an opportunity to get updates on mobile devices, watches, Macintosh, and television i.e. iOS, watchOS, macOS, and tvOS.

The event take place at San Jose McEnery Convention Center in California which is located some minutes away from Apple headquaters in Cupertino. Schiller in conversation with John Gruber added “Employees won’t have to devote an entire day to being there” as WWDC 2017 in San Jose means a lot for them.

Later Apple added “”Apple is working with the city of San Jose and local businesses to celebrate the return of WWDC with very special experiences around San Jose throughout the week”.
