Micromax is set to launch the Bharat 5 in the country today, 1 December 2017. The company is hosting an event in Gurugram today to broadcast its new product. Ahead of phone’s arrival, speculations are that it might have a massive battery power.
Micromax first launched its affordable range of smartphones through the Bharat 2 in April. The smartphone offered 4G VoLTE support. The cost of the mobile is 3,499 INR. In the month of September, the company revealed the Bharat 3 and Bharat 4 in the chain. Bharat 2 successfully sold over 2 million handsets. Both the devices were unveiled with Android 7.0 Nougat. They supported 22 Indian languages. The Bharat 3 has a cost price of 4,499 INR. The Bharat 4 was priced at 4,999 INR.
Micromax joined hands with BSNL in the month of October and launched the Bharat 1 feature phone, which supported 4G VoLTE. This phone was manufactured to counter Reliance Industries’ Jio Phone as well as Bharti Airtel’s Karbonn A40. Bharat 1 was sold at a price tag of 2,200 INR.
If we take into consideration the previous Bharat phones, the Bharat 5 has a good chance of being an economical phone.
