Xiaomi upgraded its Mi Notebook Air with the brand new eighth generation Intel Core processors in the Republic of China. The Mi Notebook Air 13.3-inch model will now be equipped with quad-core processors against the dual-core processors, which is available on the preceding models.
The Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 13.3-inch is now configurable with either 8th generation Core i5 or Core i7 chipsets. It also supports the NVIDIA GeForce MX150 graphics card. The 8th generation Intel Core i5-8250U provides four cores, along with a maximum clock frequency of 3.4GHz and eight threads. The Core i7-8550U model offers eight threads, four cores, and a maximum clock frequency of 4GHz. Intel promises that the 8th generation processor will bring about 40 percent performance improvement over the previous models.
The notebook is regulated with 8GB RAM and 256GB PCIe SSD storage. It furthermore also supports hard disk expansion. You can also avail a 2GB discrete graphics memory in order to support programs such as casual gaming and Adobe Premiere Pro for video editors. The technology has a full HD resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. It has a viewing angle of 170-degree, along with the brightness of 300 nits. The Mi Notebook Air 13.3-inch is capable of driving two external 4K displays.
Coming to the port selection now, the Mi Notebook Air 13.3-inch presents one HDMI port, one USB Type-C port, and two USB Type-A ports. It also features a fingerprint sensor that is integrated with the trackpad. The system flaunts a backlit keyboard, and it offers AKG-tuned speakers with Dolby Audio support. Additionally, the device supports Intel dual antenna Wi-Fi receiver for both 2.4GHz as well as 5GHz bands.
The Mi Notebook Air features a 1-megapixel front camera. It is backed by a 40Watt battery. The company claims it has eight hours of online video playback. The device supports fast charging using USB Type-C port and is preinstalled with Windows 10 Home Edition. It will cost you 5,399 RMB (approximately 54,000 INR). The Mi Notebook Air with 7th generation Core chipsets will start from RMB 4,599 (roughly Rs 46,000).
