The chinese company Xiaomi has already achieved a tremendous success by selling over millions units of Redmi Note 4 within 45 days of its launch. The company believes to keep the same growth with the Redmi 4A. Redmi 4A is built with various features such as 13-megapixel rear camera and VoLTE to the budget segment. The most important part to notice when holding Xiaomi Redmi 4A is that the body is polycarbonate but it looks a lot like metal. Redmi 4A is easy to use within your palm because of its relatively small 5-inch screen. At the bottom of the smartphone, we can find a charging port and at the top of the smartphone a 3.5mm audio jack and infrared emitter. With a non-removable 3120maH battery, the company states that it can deliver a 7 days of standby time. Checking into connectivity features, Redmi 4A offers Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 801.11 b/g/n, GPS/AGPS, and GLONASS.

The Xiaomi Redmi 4A runs on MIUI 8 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and it supports 13 indian languages which includes Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, Marathi, Assamese, and Bengali. Redmi 4A is built with many features of previous Redmi phones which include Dual Apps features and Second Space. The Redmi 4A also lets users to take scrolling screenshot for example a image of an entire web page could be saved which doesn’t fit in the screen. Few other features includes One-Handed mode which shrinks the display to one corner of the screen, the hovering Quick Ball button which provides quick shortcuts, Child Mode that lets user to lock apps.

The hybrid dual-SIM slot will let you insert one Micro-SIM and either a nano-SIM or microSD at a time. When two SIM cards are used, the primary slot will support 4G calls and data while Secondary SIM will support 2G only.

Redmi 4A comes with a Themes app which has huge of collection of wallpapers, ringtones and fonts, some are free and some are paid. With improved dialler app, it also shows caller ID by default in MIUI 8. It also includes an important app called Mi Mover app which lets you to move data from one Mi phone to another Mi phone. There are apps which are pre-installed in it such as Facebook, Amazon Kindle, WPS Office, Makemytrip, and Flipkart. There are enough not needed apps including Scanner, Mi Community, and Mi Picks.

On performance note, Redmi 4A made us happy with its overall performance. It has good stability in multitasking and didn’t lag when multiple apps were used. Though 5-inch screen was not enough still we loved videos streaming and movies on Redmi 4A. In the process of testing, we found that there was approx 900MB of memory was available at any time and it made us feel more could be much better.

With the given price tag, Redmi 4A loudspeaker comes out to be loud enough to fill a small room. As the Redmi 4A box doesn’t contain a earphone, so we used our own earphone and the sound was quite good enough to hear. The smartphone also has audio tweaking option in the settings app.

With the infrared emitter, Redmi 4A allows users to control various appliances at Home and works well with a variety of AC’s, set-top boxes and TVs. Users gets approximately 10GB of usage space out of the 16GB on board storage which means users must be dependent on expandable memory.

Out of all features, the biggest feature is that it supports VoLTE and it worked well even in areas with low signals. The non-removable 3120mAh battery impressed us by its long lasting battery life. With multiple apps and heavy real-world usage, Redmi 4A lasted easily for almost a day without using power saver mode.


The Xiaomi Redmi 4A surely increases the pole for smartphones and expects to be popular within the market at this price level. Redmi 4A offers many features at INR 5,999 which includes VoLTE, polycarbonate body, good camera performance, 3120mAh battery, etc. Overall Redmi 4A is good smartphone to buy at a low budget with all features. Redmi Note 5, Redmi Note 5 Pro: Know Everything Here

Xiaomi has announced the Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro in India today, 14 February 2018. We know it for a fact that the Redmi Note 5 is just a refurbished model of Redmi 5 Plus. Note 5 comes with a 6” screen. It further has a Snapdragon 625 chipset.

The huge surprise here is that the Redmi Note 5 Pro will be presented with a Snapdragon 636 processor. The mobile will flaunt a dual camera on the back panel. The camera placement is like that of the iPhone X, in the upper left corner of the handset. It also features a 20 MP selfie snap paneler at the front side.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro packs in an octa-core CPU, which is clocked at 1.8 GHz. It also has an Adreno 509 GPU. Coming to the front, the device flaunts the the same display screen as the Redmi Note 5, which is a 5.99” screen along with a Full HD+ resolution braced under a 2.5D glass along with some software buttons.

At the back, the dual-cam setup units 12 MP + 5 MP, respectively. The first sensor offers an f/2.2 lens along with a 1.25 μm pixel size. The second sensor will provide “focused foreground and creamy blurred backgrounds”, which has the f/2.0 lens along with 1.12 μm pixel size. Xiaomi had presented the 20 MP front camera using a Sony IMX376 sensor, which was further paired with an LED light.

Xiaomi upgraded its Mi Notebook Air with the brand new eighth generation Intel Core processors in the Republic of China. The Mi Notebook Air 13.3-inch model will now be equipped with quad-core processors against the dual-core processors, which is available on the preceding models.

The Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 13.3-inch is now configurable with either 8th generation Core i5 or Core i7 chipsets. It also supports the NVIDIA GeForce MX150 graphics card. The 8th generation Intel Core i5-8250U provides four cores, along with a maximum clock frequency of 3.4GHz and eight threads. The Core i7-8550U model offers eight threads, four cores, and a maximum clock frequency of 4GHz. Intel promises that the 8th generation processor will bring about 40 percent performance improvement over the previous models.

The notebook is regulated with 8GB RAM and 256GB PCIe SSD storage. It furthermore also supports hard disk expansion. The brand new 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant of the Mi Note 3 will cost CNY 1,999 (approximately 19,500 INR). It will go on sale in China from Thursday. Furthermore, the new 4GB RAM and 64GB storage will join the present models of 6GB RAM with 64GB storage, and 6GB RAM with 128GB storage.

Xiaomi Mi Note 3 features a 16-megapixel front camera for selfies, which uses the AI-based Beautify technology. The phone offers a facial recognition unlock system with a 4-sided curved body. The company presents dual cameras at the rear panel.

Aside from the new economic model, Xiaomi has also cut down the costs of the Xiaomi Mi Note 3. It will be sold in China at CNY 2,299 (approximately 22,500 INR) for 6GB RAM/64GB storage model. The 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage model will cost CNY 2,599 (25,500 INR) for the Black color option.

Xiaomi Mi Note 3 offers a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display. It has a pixel density of 403ppi. The device is fueled by Snapdragon 660 SoC. This is further clocked at up to 2.2GHz, paired with 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM. The phone sports a dual rear camera setup (just like Xiaomi Mi 6). It has a 12-megapixel sensor coupled, which uses a wide-angle lens. It presents an f/1.8 aperture too. The other 12-megapixel sensor is paired with a telephoto lens. The most awaited smartphone for Xiaomi fans has launched at a event in Beijing. It is said that the Xiaomi Mi 6 is considered to take on smartphones like iPhone 7 and Samsung Galaxy S8. Xiaomi is also expected to launch Mi 6 Plus and Mi Max 2 at the launch event.  Xiaomi Mi 6 is runs on Snapdragon 835 processor with 6GB of RAM, earlier OnePlus 3 amazed the smartphone market with its 6GB of RAM.

The important highlight of Mi 6 is its 12-megapixel dual rear camera and 3D glass design. Xiaomi company said that Mi 6 feature sets the smartphone to be a true flagship smartphone. Mi 6 has been launched with 3 variants – 64GB variant, 128GB variant and a ceramic variant that comes with 18k gold-plated camera rims at the back and its color is black.

As the trend for better camera is on, Xiaomi has launched Mi 6 with a better camera to attract many end users. The Xiaomi Mi 6 has 12-megapixel dual rear camera, which we possibly see in many upcoming smartphones.


Nothing could be more amazing to know about Mi 6 is that it runs on Snapdragon 835 processor and it has 6GB of RAM. Xiaomi also says, its binocular stereoscopic vision imaging and depth learning algorithm makes edge recognition more accurate in the photos. Xiaomi Mi 6 price for 64GB variant is announced as CNY 2,499 (approx. INR 25000) and price for 128GB variant is CNY 2,899 (approx. INR 29,000).
